Home News 21 mountaineers atop Everest on May 19th.

 

Twenty-one climbers from different countries reached the summit of Mt Everest on May 19, according to Mountaineering Division under Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation.
Chhuldim Sherpa, a local Sherpa guide, made his 13th summit on Mt Everest, while Kul Bahadur Thapa Magar of Okhaldhunga became the first from the Magar community to reach the tallest mountain in the world.
Among the other 19 summiteers, three are from Taiwan, two from Britain and one each from Macedonia, Denmark. The remaining are Nepali climbers.
Tuesday’s ascent was the first in a couple of weeks when a series of avalanches and bad weather prevented climbers from attempting Everest.
Croatian sibling Darija Bostjancic and Iris Bostjancic set a new record by becoming the first Croatian women to climb Mt Everest. ......
