Siru Bari, one of the most attractive villages located western side of Nepal. A Village in Syangja district southwest from Pokhara takes around 2 hours drive and a short hiking. The Village is on a south-facing slope at 1,700 meters above sea level.The hills above the Sirubari Village offer breathtaking panoramic views of Mt. Annupurna, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Lamjung and Hiunchuli. The climate is ideal at all time of the year; however, from September to June is the best time to visit. Most houses are tradition type built up of local materials and walking trails through the village are well stone paved.
In Sirubari, one can experience a stay in an unspoiled village living as a family member. You will be welcomed into the community and invited to stay in the home of one of the village families. Each night there will be entertainment provided by the community. One evening this will be in the form of traditional Gurung and Nepali dancing and singing.
The accommodation is simple but comfortable with clean room with good beds as well as clean toilet facilities. The food is delicious and you will be eating your meals as one of the family. During your stay, you will be able to feel what it is like to live the life of a Nepali villager.
Sirubari in conjunction with the Nepal Tourism Board was awarded the PATA gold prize in recognition of its contribution to preserve the cultural heritage and tourism environment in the place.
