Some popular treks around Kathmandu are Shivapuri area,Sundarijali to Chisopani, Godavari to Phulchowki, Kritipur to Champadevi,Nagarjun(Zamacho), Nagarkot-Namobudhha etc. Permit is only required for trekking around Shivapuri Naitonal park. Transportation easily available at the end and beginning of these treks.Private vehicles or taxi can also be hired.
