Helambu region is immediately north of Kathmandu. It has many scenic villages inhabited by Sherpas and Tamangs and their different cultures.
Helambu circuit trek starts from a short drive to Sudarijal and walking through Shivapuri ridges from where one can see stunning views of central Himalayas. The trek continues heading up to Thare Pati before turning east to Melemchi Gaon and Tarke Gyang the main villages of this area. From here we visit Shermathang before descending to the Melamchi River to end our trek then get the transport Melamchi Bazaar back to Kathmandu.
Helambu trek is a comfortable moderate trek where can get good trekking lodges for accommodation and fresh food running by local people. This moderate trek is between altitudes of 1200m to 3500m.
